Objectives:                                          

 

• To provide a means by which students can be proactive, thus allowing them the opportunity to invest their time and effort in something positive, rather than being idle or engaged in negative or useless activities.

• To enable students the opportunity to creatively express themselves through the art of dance, where by allowing them to improve the talents that they already possess and to develop new ones as well.

​

• To teach students the importance of self and human respect as they grow to understand the value of their own lives and that of others.

​

• To give students the opportunity to gain trust, reliance, responsibility, leadership qualities, bravery, and maturity.

​

• To help students set positive examples so that they may be role models for others to emulate.

​

• To provide a voice for those who may not be able to speak for themselves i.e. a source of guidance, protection, refuge and companionship.

​

• To help students understand that everyone is equal and no one is of greater or lesser value or importance.

​

• To teach students the importance of community development and working together in order to achieve common goals.
